Restaurant Delivery Zones & Scheduled Orders
Delivery apps send you orders but keep the customer, the data and a slice of every bill. If you already have a kitchen and a few riders, you can take delivery yourself — what you need is a way to say where you deliver, what it costs, and who is carrying it. OrderRestro does that from the same screen you already use for dine-in.
Delivery zones by pincode
In Delivery > Zones you add a zone with a delivery fee, a minimum order, an estimated time and the pincodes it covers. A pincode can belong to only one active zone, so a customer is never quoted two prices. Once zones exist, an order for a pincode outside every zone is refused politely, and an order below the minimum is told what the minimum is. The fee is added to the bill at payment.
Until you add your first zone nothing changes: delivery orders are accepted as before, with no fee. That means you can switch zones on when you are ready.
Assign a driver and follow the order
Staff with the Delivery Staff role appear as drivers. Each delivery moves from needing a driver, to assigned, to picked up, to delivered — or failed if it could not be completed. The board shows the address, a tap-to-call phone number and the estimated arrival, and finished deliveries are kept in a history tab. We do not track riders by GPS; the status is updated by staff.
Scheduled orders and click & collect
A guest, or your staff on the phone, can order for a set time at least ten minutes away. The order sits quietly until about twenty-five minutes before it is due, then appears on the kitchen display — so a 1 pm lunch box is not made at noon.
Put it on your own website
Your website can ask for a delivery quote before the customer commits — fee, minimum and time for their pincode — and then place the order, with the address and an optional schedule, through the REST API. Orders arrive on the dashboard, and you can require a staff member to accept each one first. To push each status change to WhatsApp or a spreadsheet, use webhooks.
