Referral Rewards and a Delivery Rider App for Your Own Restaurant Orders

Marketplace apps bring orders but keep the customer and take a commission on every bill. If you have a kitchen and a few riders, you can take orders yourself. OrderRestro covers the three parts: getting new customers, taking the order, and getting it to the door.

Referral rewards

A customer can share a dish, or their personal link, with a friend. When the friend places a first order and it is paid, both people earn points. In Settings > General you choose the points for each side, what one point is worth (for example 100 points = ₹10), and the minimum food value of that first order. Nothing is paid until the order is paid, a person cannot refer themselves, and the same friend can only be rewarded once. Customers use their points as a discount at checkout.

Orders from your own website

Through the REST API, your website sends delivery orders straight to the kitchen screen. The customer can create an account while ordering and can choose to share their location. You can refuse orders below a minimum amount, limit delivery to your pin codes, and change every website price by a percentage or an amount without touching the till.

The rider screen

Add a staff member with the Delivery staff role and a phone number. They sign in to the normal app with that number and a password and see My deliveries. They go online, share their location, hear a sound when a delivery is assigned, open the route in maps, call the customer, see the cash to collect and mark each delivery picked up, delivered or not delivered with a reason. Staff see who is online and where from the Delivery page.

Location is only shared while the page is open, because some phones pause it in the background. Cash that a rider collects is settled by staff at the till.

Zomato and Swiggy in the same place

If you also sell on Zomato or Swiggy, a signed webhook in Settings brings those orders onto the same screens, so the kitchen sees one queue. Status is not sent back to the platform yet.
